Posture Pilates offers a comprehensive range of classes and sessions, in Colchester and White Colne, to help you achieve your health, well-being and/or fitness goals through Pilates.

Body Control Pilates is unique in the way that it prepares the body for the classical Pilates exercises created by Joseph Pilates. The preparation is critical as we need to bear in mind that many of Joseph Pilates regular clients were gymnasts and dancers who were extremely fit. Body Control Pilates believed that the average person would not be able to follow the ‘full mat’ program, as created by Joseph Pilates, without injury and so they broke down the original exercises in order for them to be taught step by step, layering on the skills needed to ultimately do the ‘full mat’. They have also created new exercises, based on his principles, which help teach these skills and which give clients the strength and flexibility they need to perform the more complex movements. As clients progress they learn good biomechanics, which help improve posture and overall strength and flexibility.


Group

classes

Group Classes vary in length from 5-7 week blocks. Classes are 60 minutes in length and have a maximum of 10 people per class. Group classes are payable in blocks at the start of each term. There will be a 15% discount to the price if you book more than 1 block per term i.e. 2 or more classes a week and there is also an option to pay monthly via standing order.

1:1 Private Pilates Sessions

One hour bespoke private sessions are available by appointment only. Following an assessment of your posture and movement patterns, individual programs will be created. Private Sessions can be used to address specific postural issues, medical conditions or to enhance your performance in sports such as running, cycling, tennis or golf.

1:1 Private Mat Sessions £40 per hour reduced to £35 if booked in blocks of 1 month at a time.

1:1 Private reformer sessions £50 per hour reduced to £45 if booked in blocks of 1 month at a time.

All sessions are payable in advance.


2:1 Buddy Pilates
