Hey! I'm Rebecca,


....owner of Posture Pilates, mum to the two gorgeous boys and a lover of all things health, well-being and fitness related.


I have been practising pilates for over 20 years, and more recently Barre, and both methods have given me an enhanced understanding and awareness of my body, my movement patterns, and how breathing properly can help reduce stress and tension. They have helped me minimise back pain, improve my posture and physique and keep injury largely at bay. They have helped repair my body from two Caesarean sections building my strength from within and rebalancing my muscles. 


I trained with Body Control Pilates and studied intensively to the high standards they insist upon and am proud to hold their matwork and reformer certification at level 3 in the National Qualifications Framework. 


I also hold the following certifications:-

Intermediate Matwork - Body Control Pilates.

Beginner and Intermediate Reformer Instructor - Body Control Pilates.

Pilates for Performance - Body Control Pilates.

Pilates for Runners - Body Control Pilates.

Menopause Awareness for Pilates Teachers - Menopause Pilates - Dinah Siman.

Bootbarre primary trainer - Bootybarre - Tracey Mallett.

I hold a valid First Aid certificate and am fully insured via Balens and The Body Control Pilates Association.

Body Control Pilates

Body Control Pilates mat and reformer is designed to help strengthen and elongate the body, and to restore balance with the mind.

Bootybarre

Bootybarre is the perfect combination of pilates, yoga and dance providing strength and flexibilty training with an added cardiovascular element.

Stand up Paddleboarding (SUP)

Stand up paddleboarding offers a super fun way to play on the water with the added benefit of a full-body workout and the benefits of being out on the water soothe the mind and calm the soul. Perfect for a little bit of self care.

SUP Pilates

Swapping the mat for a board! SUP Pilates includes all mat pilates exercises performed on the paddleboard. The moving craft provides for the ultimate core strengthening workout and the benefits of being out on the water soothes the mind.

Classes, SUP Sessions and Therapies 


Posture Pilates offers a comprehensive range of classes and sessions, in Colchester and surrounding areas, to help you achieve your health, well-being and fitness goals

Posture Pilates helps men and women in their mid-life improve their health and well-being by teaching them how to re-discover their mind-body connection, and understand just how good their bodies are designed to feel through the methods of Body Control Pilates, Bootybarre, Stand up paddleboarding (SUP) and SUP Pilates. 


Group 

classes

Classes are 60 minutes in length and have a maximum of 12 people per class. Group classes are payable via a monthly subscription at a cost of £40 per month taken on the 1st of every month.

The subscription includes 

🧘Unlimited classes per week either by attending in person at a venue or dialling in remotely via Zoom. 

🧘2 live Zoom classes a week which change every week in terms of the type of class and the day and time the class runs. 

🧘Access to the members only section on my website for continued access to pre-recorded classes on demand.

1:1 Private Pilates 

Sessions

 

One hour bespoke private sessions are available by appointment only. Following an assessment of your posture and movement patterns, individual programs will be created. Private Sessions can be used to address specific postural issues, medical conditions or to enhance your performance in sports such as running, cycling, tennis or golf.

1:1 Private Mat Sessions £35 per hour.

1:1 Private reformer sessions £45 per hour.

All sessions are payable in advance.

Buddy Mat Pilates

Sessions

Share the cost and book with a friend for a more personalised session.

2:1 sessions - £25 each per hour 

3:1 £20 each per hour 

All sessions are payable in advance.


SUP

Pilates sessions

SUP Pilates take place at both Mersea Island Watersports and Mersea Boating Lake.

SUP Pilates classes are £8.50 per 45 minute session. Not including set up times of approx. 15 minutes either side of the session.

You may bring your own Paddleboards and equipment or you can hire all you need from either venue.


Indian Head Massage with Posture Pilates

A chance to unwind and rejuvenate the mind, body and soul...

An Indian Head Massage focuses on your head, neck, shoulders and arms. It is a deep massage using a variety of pressure and techniques, including circular massagestrokes on your scalp and deep tissue work on your shoulders.


The benefits of Indian Head Massage are felt long after the massage is completed and some of the benefits include the following.
